Cancellation & Rebooking Policy

HOTELS

How do I cancel?

• If you have made a booking that allows for cancellation or date changes before travel (as defined in the offer), you can cancel up to either 8 or 30 days before your check-in date to receive a refund of your hotel cost, depending on the hotel you've booked.
• You can now cancel refundable deals yourself within your account. Find the relevant reservation and you should see the option to cancel.
• If you cannot cancel through the account, please put in a 'Cancellation Request' on the contact us page.

For hotel bookings, how can I tell if I have an 8 or 30-day cancellation period?

• The cancellation terms of your booking can be located on your booking confirmation or within your account on the Secret Escapes site.

For hotel bookings, can I cancel within 8 or 30 days of check-in?

• If within the 8-day or 30-day threshold, you are outside the cancellation policy and thus, your hotel booking cannot be cancelled.
• In unforeseen circumstances such as family tragedy that necessitate short-notice cancellation, please contact us through the provided form for potential assistance.

How do I change the date of my hotel only booking?

• Bookings that allow for date changes can be managed by signing into your account, selecting the relevant reservation under 'Bookings', and choosing to change your dates, subject to availability.
• If changes are not possible due to lack of availability or the deal has ended, you may cancel your booking to receive a refund in Secret Escapes credit.
• Date changes for bookings within the non-cancellable period are not possible. Added flights to these offers complicate modifications further; please refer to the airline's ticket restrictions for more details.

How will I receive my credit refund for my hotel only booking?

• Canceled bookings eligible under the refundable category can be refunded to Secret Escapes credit minus any applicable cancellation fee. This credit can be utilized for future bookings or exchanges for different deals.

HOTELS WITH ADDED FLIGHTS

• Hotel bookings with flights that allow cancellation can be refunded for the hotel cost in Secret Escapes credit, with a cancellation fee subtracted, up to 8 or 30 days before check-in. The flight portion is non-refundable.
• Full refunds include ATOL protection on the full amount paid for bookings canceled by Secret Escapes due to unforeseen reasons.

NON-REFUNDABLE HOTELS

Why should I book a non-refundable hotel stay?

• These stays offer better rates and availability across global destinations.

Can I cancel or change my non-refundable hotel booking?

• Non-refundable hotel bookings cannot be cancelled or changed after booking confirmation unless specifically mentioned in the offer's Terms & Conditions.
• While Secret Escapes may aid in communicating with the hotel to negotiate cancellations or changes, success is not guaranteed, and fees may apply.

FLEXIBLE HOLIDAYS

Made up of 'Secret Escapes Flexible Holidays' and 'Trusted Partner Flexible Holidays', these deals offer varying cancellation and change options depending on the specific terms of each offer.

• 'Secret Escapes Flexible Holidays' allow date changes up to 7 or 14 days before departure, with potential fees. They also permit partial refunds before the designated pre-departure date line, as outlined under each specific offer's detailed terms.
• 'Trusted Partner Flexible Holidays' have their own set of policies, payment deadlines, and cancellation terms, which can be found in each offer's details.

In summary, the cancellation and return policies at Secret Escapes are contingent on the nature of the booking – refundable hotel stays, non-refundable hotel stays, hotels with added flights, Trusted Partner Flexible Holidays, or Secret Escapes Flexible Holidays. Each policy details the timeframes for cancellations, refunds, and the modalities for amending the bookings. Members are encouraged to refer to their booking confirmations or the Secret Escapes account for precise information regarding their reservations.
