Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy is Marriott International’s dedicated vacation rental platform, created to bring the trust and consistency of a global hotel chain into the home-rental market. The idea first took shape in 2018, when Marriott tested the waters under the Tribute Portfolio Homes brand in London with a few hundred listings. The pilot program proved successful and revealed strong demand from travelers who wanted more spacious, residential-style accommodations but still valued the standards and reliability associated with Marriott.

Building on that early momentum, Marriott officially launched Homes & Villas by Marriott International in the spring of 2019. From the start, the service distinguished itself from competitors by focusing only on professionally managed properties rather than privately hosted ones, ensuring guests could expect hotel-like quality and amenities. Within just a few months of launch, the collection expanded to over 100 destinations worldwide, and by the end of the year, more than 12,000 curated homes were available.

Despite the disruption brought by the pandemic, the platform continued to grow as many travelers began seeking private, flexible, and spacious accommodations over traditional hotels. By 2020, Homes & Villas had already surpassed 20,000 listings across 240 global destinations. Today, it has become a cornerstone of Marriott’s "Longer Stays" portfolio, offering members of the Marriott Bonvoy program a way to earn points and elite night credits while enjoying unique vacation rental properties around the world.

How to Book & Available Payment Options

• Booking Platform:
  Reservations are made directly on the Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy website—not through Marriott.com. You must sign in with your Marriott Bonvoy account to book and access member benefits.

• Payment Methods:

  • Acceptable: Major credit cards and Marriott Bonvoy points.

  • Marriott Bonvoy Free Night Certificates and Marriott gift cards are not accepted.

• Cash & Points Option:
  If you have Marriott points, you can use a flexible Cash & Points split: choose how many points (minimum of 1,000) to apply along with cash. The system deducts both at booking, and you still earn points and elite credits on the cash part (excluding booking fees, taxes, cleaning charges, and add-ons).

• Points Posting:
  After completing your stay, as long as the correct Bonvoy number was used, points and elite night credits typically post within 72 hours
