How to return an order in Shopping Express?

When a product purchased from Shopping Express is faulty, customers may be covered under a manufacturer warranty, typically for a period of one year, unless specified otherwise. If a product is found to be faulty, customers should contact Shopping Express at mail@shoppingexpress.com.au with their invoice number and a description of the issue. Support staff may request a photo of the product. For products that are Dead on Arrival (DOA) or damaged upon receipt, the fault needs to be reported within 7 days for the possibility of an exchange or refund without return postage costs. After 7 days, normal warranty procedures apply, and the customer will be responsible for return postage costs.

For items that have been physically damaged in transit, keeping all packaging is crucial as it may be needed to claim insurance with the delivery company. Customers should take a photo of the damage, email it with invoice details to mail@shoppingexpress.com.au, and a full description of the damage. Compensation will depend on whether postal insurance was purchased with the item.

If an incorrect item is received, Shopping Express should be notified. The company will coordinate with customers to arrange the return of the mistaken item, covering the return postage in this instance.

Change of mind returns is possible as long as the item is in brand new condition, with unopened packaging. Opened packaging may result in a 15% restocking fee as the item cannot be sold as brand new. Customers wishing to return items due to change of mind should contact Shopping Express at mail@shoppingexpress.com.au for further advice.

In a case where an item is lost or original packaging is missing, it can still be returned under warranty, adhering to the company’s warranty returns policy. However, change of mind returns will not be entertained without the original packaging.

For "Return to Sender" (RTS) instances resulting from errors made by the customer, like providing incorrect or incomplete shipping details, or failure to collect a parcel, Shopping Express reserves the right to pass on incurred charges to the customer if the parcel needs to be resent. Alternatively, customers can opt for order cancellation upon the return of the parcel, but Shopping Express will deduct shipping costs along with a restocking and handling fee from the refund. The fee is approximately 10% of the item's price or a minimum of $10, whichever is higher. Issues leading to RTS can be avoided by carefully checking shipping details and communicating with Shopping Express, particularly if there are changes in plans or if customers are going on holiday and prefer delivery at a later date.

Shopping Express does not allow warranty transfer to third parties. In drop shipping scenarios, the responsibility lies with the original purchaser to handle warranty claims for their customers. Shopping Express will process warranty claims only under the order number and buyer associated with the initial purchase.

Items that cannot be replaced or returned include consumable items, such as CD, DVD media, printer ink cartridges, and software, once they have been sold.

Refurbished products sold by Shopping Express may include new items with damaged packaging, repaired items without original packaging, items that are missing non-critical components like instruction booklets or installation CDs, or demo units with possible minor cosmetic defects.
