More about Amazon:
Amazon voucher codes
Amazon is the largest internet based online retailer. It was started by Jeff Bezos who in 1994 launched his first online bookstore, focused on selling books through the Internet. The website soon expanded to sell DVDs, VHSs, CDs, videos and today at Amazon you can get practically everything: from apparel, entertainment products and toys to food, fashion accessories, electronics, and much more. It is also well-known for being a producer of consumer electronics and for introducing a completely new product to the market - Amazon's e-book reader named "Kindle". Amazon, which is currently the world’s number one on-line seller, is an American international electronic commerce company founded by Jeff Bezos. He began it as an ordinary on-line bookshop, but very quickly widened its offer and started to sell DVDs, VHSs, CDs, video and MP3 downloads/streaming, software, video games, electronics, apparel, furniture, food, toys and even jewelry. Currently the company has 15 different categories to choose from, including:
- Car and Motorbike,
- Appstore for Android,
- Pets & DIY,
- Sports and Outdoors.
The company history
The beginnings of Amazon can be tracked to 1995 when the Amazon.com appeared on the Internet for the first time. Amazon is not only available in the US, but has separate selling websites for such countries as United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Brazil, Japan, China and many others, simultaneously offering international shipping for some other countries which do not have their own Amazon retail website. The company has still been thinking about expanding and in 2011 it had expressed a plan of starting new retail websites in Poland, Netherlands and Sweden.
Recently, Amazon has been widely known for the production of consumer electronics, namely the Amazon Kindle e-book reader and the Kindle Fire tablet computer, both of which have been hailed a success. The success of Amazon met with a huge criticism from other book retailers, e.g. Walmart accused Amazon of stealing their selling tactics and Barnes & Nobles sued Amazon as it claimed to be “the world’s largest bookstore” and Barnes & Nobles saw that statement as a blatant false and stated,
"[It] isn't a bookstore at all. It's a book broker."
Both cases were settled out in favour of Amazon. What is more, in 2011 Amazon has become a partner of DC Comics, simultaneously claiming the exclusive digital rights to many well-known comics, e.g. Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Sandman and Watchmen. Therefore, many famous bookstores, e.g. Barnes & Nobles, had to cease selling those titles.
There are probably only a few things and brands which one would not be able to find at Amazon website as it offers products of such brands as: Adidas, Bench, Billabong, Converse, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Diesel, Emporio Armani, Guess, Vila, Vero Moda, Esprit, Disney, Samsung, Nikon, Fujifilm, Lenovo, Toshiba, Tefal, brabantia, Brita, Villeroy & Boch and hundreds of other well-known brands.
How to use Amazon voucher codes
Speaking of which… winter is coming, so do not you cater to yourself and buy a pair of gloves or a winter coat? Why do we even say such things? Well, Picodi.com/za specialises in saving money and well, all you have to do is to follow our SHORT GUIDE.
Step 1: Search for Amazon at Picodi.com/za
Go to Picodi.com/za and enter Amazon.
Step 2: Two types of Amazon offer buttons
A number of available discounts will appear before your eyes. Look for those marked with red buttons as they are still going on. Read carefully the description on the each offer button and choose the one that suits your needs. Click it.
Step 3: Choose your discount
Amazon website opens but with a small difference. On the top, you will definitely notice a pop out box with either an Amazon voucher code or information: You reached the discount area. No code is required. The latter one means that Amazon already has some promotions on. As far as the Amazon voucher code is required, there is no need for you to remember it – the box will be there for you all the time.
Step 4: Shop for your favourite product
Browse for the items you want to purchase. At Amazon getting what you want is so simply! Do you want new Nike AirMax? No problem! New Toshiba Laptop? No problem either. Amazon has it all.
Step 5: Sign in or create an account
Now, either sign in or create a new account. When you are in your shopping basket again and you are sure there is nothing else to buy, proceed to checkout.
Step 6: Fill in all the required details
If you are a new customer, enter your delivery address, choose your delivery option, decide on payment options and finally, if there is an Amazon promotional code, enter it in the field under Gift Cards & Promotional Codes as marked with a red frame on the picture below, and click Apply. Voila! You have just saved money without much effort.
Step 7: Confirmation
The last thing to do is to place an order and wait for purchased goods to be delivered.
