How to return purchases in AbeBooks?

You're eligible for a refund within 30 days if dissatisfied with the purchase due to an error on the seller's part or if the book doesn't arrive.

• Types of Refunds
  1. Incorrect Book/Not as Described/Damaged:
Eligible for a full refund of the purchase price, including original shipping costs, if the return is the result of an error on the seller's part. If the book is incorrect or damaged, return shipping equal to the original charge is refunded. The item must be returned directly to the seller within 30 days of the estimated delivery date and in the same condition it was received in. For books returned as 'Not as described,' return shipping amounts are at the seller's discretion; if the seller disagrees, only the book price and original shipping will be refunded.
  2. Book Did Not Arrive:
Eligible for a full refund of the purchase price, including shipping costs, if the book hasn't arrived by the Estimated Delivery Date, up until 30 days past. Provided tracking information that shows the book has arrived voids the refund request. Requests for 'item did not arrive' automatically complete 7 days after initiating through the buyer account. In cases where the book is returned for reasons like incomplete address, unclaimed, or returned to sender, the refund includes only the book price.
  3. Buyer Does Not Want Item:
Majority of sellers accept returns if the buyer changes their mind. Sellers are not required to accept a return on AbeBooks.com and may cancel the return request if it's against their store policy. If rejected, a cancellation notice is emailed within 2 days. Returns are accepted if not cancelled within 2 days. If returned in the same condition as received, the price of the book is refunded, excluding original or return shipping charges. Sellers are required to accept return requests for orders from AbeBooks.co.uk, AbeBooks.de, ZVAB.com, AbeBooks.fr, AbeBooks.it, and IberLibro.com, including original shipping in the refund.
• Partial Refunds
If dissatisfied but wishing to keep the book, a partial refund can be negotiated with the seller. Partial refunds can be on the book price, shipping amount, or both. The seller is not obligated to provide one and may prefer a full refund. Return shipping, when refundable, is added to the refund upon receipt of the book by the seller. Labels for return shipping are not provided. Refunds are processed to the credit card once the seller receives the book. A trackable method of shipment is recommended; without tracking, the refund may be cancelled if the book doesn't arrive. Once a return/refund request has been cancelled, another cannot be submitted.
