How can one return an order from Southwest?

Southwest Flight Cancellation and Refund Policy:

If a flight is cancelled:

• Tickets such as Business Select^®/Anytime are refundable and can be processed as a method-of-payment refund or converted into a flight credit for future use.
• Wanna Get Away^® and Wanna Get Away Plus^® tickets are not refundable but can be turned into a flight credit or a Transferable Flight Credit™ for future flights.
• For tickets not cancelled at least 10 minutes before scheduled departure, Business Select or Anytime tickets get converted into Transferable Flight Credit™ and Wanna Get Away or Wanna Get Away Plus credits are forfeited.
• Reward travel cancellations result in a redeposit of points to the Rapid Rewards^® account for Anytime or Business Select^®, while taxes and fees are turned into Transferable Flight Credit™.
• For Wanna Get Away or Wanna Get Away Plus reward travel not cancelled in time, points and associated taxes and fees are forfeited.

Within 24-hour booking:

• A method-of-payment refund can be requested if reservation is cancelled within 24 hours of booking.
• Alternatively, convert the ticket's value to a flight credit or Transferable Flight Credit™, based on the fare.

Methods of receiving a refund:

• Credit card refunds are processed within seven business days.
• Cash refunds are provided via check not later than 20 business days for domestic travel. The International Travel page should be consulted for international flights.
• Rapid Rewards^® points get returned to the account, and unused taxes/fees can be refunded or converted to flight credit.

No-show policy:

• Failing to cancel a reservation at least 10 minutes before the flight will cancel the reservation and result in forfeiting Wanna Get Away and Wanna Get Away Plus funds or converting Business Select or Anytime funds into Transferable Flight Credit™.

If Southwest cancels a flight:

• Passengers are entitled to a method-of-payment refund for unused transportation and additional purchased extras or a flight credit that does not expire for future travel, upon request.
• For method-of-payment refunds or to obtain a flight credit, contact 1-800-435-9792 or use the Email Us option and provide appropriate information.

Additional considerations:

• Cancellation of flights booked with Rapid Rewards points results in points being credited back to the originating account with a choice for taxes and fees to be refunded or converted into flight credit.
