McDonald’s history in the Philippines dates back to 1981, when George T. Yang opened the first ever McDonald’s restaurant in Morayta, Manila. Only ten years later the chain went nationwide – the new locations covered Cebu, Visayas, Mindanao, and Cagayan De Oro. Nowadays, the company is country’s leading fast food chain with more than 500 restaurants all over the Philippines. The brand’s mission is to serve the Filipino community by providing the best food and customer delight experience. What’s more important, Roland McDonald House Charities were established to help and support Filipino people.
